Romney Marsh Wools
This week I was able to escape to the Kent countryside to work on some images for a company web site and brochure. A better day could not have been planned the weather was glorious and the location a dream.
The company, Romney Marsh Wools, produces scarves, cushions, knee rugs and throws, all produced from the very sheep that are reared on the family farm across part of the Romney Marsh and the adjacent escarpment of Aldington and Bonnington in Kent.
Paul and his wife Kristina set up an exciting diversification project to have the fleeces transformed into their beautiful product range. Real quality products produced locally here in the Kent countryside.
The fleeces are taken to Wales where a small weaver hand processes, spins and weaves the yarn into the beautiful product range.
They say never to work with animals and children. I just happen to love working with them both and the sheep were well behaved, almost!
