Kathryn and Gary were married and celebrated their wedding at the wonderful Bradbourne House in East Malling in Kent on june 26th. Another scorcher of a day and with all the sunshine it meant great light for the interior images. The house is magnificent and was a dream to work in.

Bradbourne House is a beautiful grade 1 listed building set in 20 acres of parkland, in the village of East Malling, Kent. It was originally built in Tudor times but was extended and altered in the early 18th century.

Kathryn and Gary's wedding was a very beautiful experience, with much love and emotion evident throughout the day. The late evening sun made for a true summers evening with some wonderful romantic images captured with the setting sun and long shadows.

Certainly a venue to look forward to working with again in the future.

Hope you had a great honeymoon.

Just one of the bonuses of having a job that you love is that you get to work in some great locations around the country and internationally. Not only this but you get to work with great couples such as Laura and Ephraim who live in London. They were married at The Lygon Arms, Broadway in the Cotswolds. Simply a beautiful day, with beautiful people and beautiful memories.

The Jewish ceremony was conducted under a Hoopa in the beautiful gardens of The Lygon Arms. Once again the weather was fantastic for the couple and their international and home guests! Laura and Ephraim from Romania and South Africa respectively, were married on 13th June and the venue gave us some great wedding photography opportunities.

Have a great honeymoon!

Here are just a few of the images captured on the day.

Another Hampton Court wedding, this time Hampton Court House in Surrey, a mere stones throw from the Palace. Alice and Richard were married at St Mary with St Alban in Teddington on the 12th of June. With the reception being held in the sumptuous surroundings of Hampton Court House which backs on to Bushy Park.

This venue really should be looked at when considering a wedding in the area! Both the interior and the grounds make a wonderful area to capture the romance of the day!

Here are a selection of images captured on the day. Unfortunately no photography was allowed during the service at the church but the rest of the days events gave us great opportunity for some super shots!

Thanks for such a great day.. another scorcher of a day and the mid summer evening sun was a great way to end the day.

The Summer sun certainly shone upon us all on this day, 5th June at the Imperial Hotel in Hythe Kent. Despite being on Kents coast there was no sea breeze to cool us down. Sophie and Ian were a pleasure to work with and remained cool and calm through the whole day.

Guests came from far and wide to witness their special day and it really was a fantastic day. As the sun was about to disappear we dashed down to the beach for some fun images. The BBQ in the evening went a treat and I think I went past the sweet table a couple of times to replenish the sugars burnt off from the days wedding photography.

Hope you like the sneak peek!

Thank you Sophie and Ian.

Summer at its best, and a day to remember for Claire & Richard, June 5th, 2010. Married in Norfolk in the village of Gresham. Gresham being set in the rolling countryside and a beautiful setting for a wedding.

Claire and Richard actually live in Yorkshire and fell in love with the Chaucer Barn in Gresham on a holiday break. Chaucer Barn makes the perfect location for a wedding venue and is also licensed for ceremonies. Set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens which gave us plenty of areas for some wonderful romantic images.

Here are a few of them.

The first of the seasons destination weddings, Sunday May 30th, Co Mayo, Ireland. Kim and Kevin both live in Kent and Kevin's family come from Co Mayo. What a beautiful destination to get married and the Guinness is not bad either!

We were spoilt for choice when it came to the locations for the couple images, surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and places of interest. Family and friends traveled from afar to join them on their special day and everyone got to have a mini holiday too!

Congratulations Kim and Kevin, Looking forward to the viewing on your return.

Suzie & Drake, Hampton Court

One rarely has a chance to photograph a wedding in a Royal Palace and I was privileged to be asked to cover the wedding of Suzannah and Drake in Hampton Court Palace on the 22nd May this year. It was an incredible day from bridal preparation through to the final departure of the happy couple!

The day was another hot one, clear blue skies and the sun shone relentlessly the whole day through. The day was full of events and surprises, a guest appearance by Henry VIII and entertainment by the seriously silly jester of international repute, Peet!

After the bridal preparation Suzannah accompanied by her father and bride's maids took a walk over from The Mitre hotel opposite much to the amazement of the local traffic and onlookers at the palace! It's certainly not an everyday occurrence to see a beautiful bride and her entourage walk past you! The ceremony was held in the Chapel Royal followed by tea in the Banqueting House and Champagne and canapes in the orchard in the palace grounds. Following the entertainment it was time for the procession to Wedding Breakfast held in the Great Hall.

A truly amazing day, with many moments captured and a whole treasure of memories from the day.

Thank you Suzannah and Drake

It was a hot hot hot day in Kent. From bridal preparation to the first dance the heat was on but what a super day we had. The ceremony and reception for Julie and Antony was held at the Weald of Kent in Headcorn.

Julie and Antony had an intimate wedding ceremony with close family and friends and in the evening the golf club rocked with the party!

The evening sun bought a respite from the heat when we were able to take a stroll with the newly weds, enjoying the evening breeze and another photo opportunity.

Thanks for a wonderful day.

Dulcie & Noel, Chilston Park

Spring was still very much in the air on April 25th when Dulcie and Noel were married. Blue skies and daffodils, romance, fun and laughter were in much abundance! The church service in Leeds village in Kent followed by the wedding breakfast and reception at the Chilston Park Hotel.

We had fun and laughter all day long from bridal preparation through to the first dance, my sides were still aching the following day! The volcanic dust cloud threatened to put a damper on things, with many guests flying in for the occasion. Fortunately all worked out well and all the guests made it to the Garden of England!

The Chilston Park Hotel is set back from the tree-lined lanes of Kent. The manor house at Chilston Park is a unique Grade 1 listed property. Over the years, it has been a home to eminent Politicians, Writers, Lords and Viscounts. Today it is a luxury hotel, set within 22 acres of rural parkland in the heart of the Garden of England.

A fantastic setting for a wonderful couple, thank you Dulcie and Noel.

Jody & Jonathan, Bell Hotel

On the 24th April, Jody and Jonathan were married at the Holy Trinity Church in Margate. A ceremony that was different in as much that the ceremony and service were conducted by Jonathans's father Arthur.

After the wedding service Jody and Jonathan decided on a little beach stroll. This was the first sunny weekend of the year and the beach was packed with families and sun worshipers. Having forgotten their buckets and spades we decided to grab some romantic images before heading to the Bell Hotel in Sandwich for some light refreshments before the start of the wedding breakfast!

The wedding breakfast and reception was held at the Bell Hotel in Sandwich. Sandwich is arguably the most complete medieval town in England and easily accessible from London. The Guildhall and Town Hall, The Butts, Ropewalk, Millwall, the Bulwarks, the Fisher Gate and Toll Bridge over the River Stour are all redolent of its historic wealth and importance.

Thank you for a wonderful day and welcome home after your Honeymoon.

Suzannah & Drake e shoot

A warm and a very sunny Spring day greeted us at Hampton Court in Surrey last Saturday. The event, Suzannah and Drake's e shoot. They are getting married here at Hampton Court Palace in May and this has to be one of the finest venues to visit let alone be able to marry here!

Their wedding plans sound wonderful and we cannot wait to capture their day from bridal preparation through to the Bride and Groom departure!

We had a wonderful afternoon looking around the breath taking interiors and beautiful gardens which are coming to life and will be in full bloom come their wedding day. The wedding ceremony taking place in the Chapel Royal and the wedding breakfast being held in the Great Hall, this is going to be an amazing day.

Suzannah and Drake are a wonderful couple and this is surely going to be a beautiful story to tell in images!

Twas a cold, no, very cold, wet, misty morning on the South Coast and Jody and Jonathan braved the elements for their engagement shoot. A really super couple, much in love and fun to work with. Their wedding is towards the end of April and full of hopes for a sunny and warm afternoon.

Thank you for a super morning and for the hot cup of coffee at your wedding venue in Sandwich, Kent, The Bell Hotel

An e shoot is a great way to gain confidence in front of the camera before your special day and as an extra option the shoot also gives you an image of your choice together with a signature mat for your guests to sign at your wedding reception. You also have the chance to buy images and look great in a leather portfolio album.

Please ask for more details.

Berengere & Philip, Chilston Park

It may have been February 15th, a day after St. Valentines day, but there was still a lot of love going around! Berengere and Philip were married at the beautiful Chilston Park Hotel in Kent. There was a French touch to the days proceedings, Berengere a beautiful French bride and many of the guests came over from France especially for the occasion.

The snow had just about disappeared, bitterly cold but the warmth and hospitality inside made for a fantastic day! Berengere sang a surprise song, "The look of love ...." to Philip, who ever said romance had died!

Set back from the tree-lined lanes of Kent, the manor house at Chilston Park is a unique Grade 1 listed property. Over the years, it has been a home to eminent politicians, writers, Lords and Viscounts. Today it is a luxury hotel, just as you would imagine, set within 22 acres of rural parkland in the heart of the Garden of England.
But perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this luxury 4 star hotel is the antiques and history that surround it. It has many interesting artefacts that date as far back as the 17th century manor house. Many of the 53 bedrooms feature original fireplaces, four-poster beds and antiquities.

Thanks to Berengere and Philip for making your day special for us!

Rebecca & Paul, Claridges Hotel

Rebecca and Paul were married in 5 star luxury at the historic Art Deco hotel set in the heart of Mayfair, Claridges, on the 6th February.

There cannot be many hotels offering so much, style, elegance and with the truly professional staff on hand at all times, everything went like clockwork! A fantastic backdrop to work with although not without its challenges at times but the end results were simply wonderful.

The evenings events took place at the Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush. A venue renowed for live gigs and events this restored Edwardian music hall really rocked that night! Two bands a DJ and a special surprise rendition of the Flower Duet for Rebecca produced more than goosebumps for all!

A super day, a wonderful couple - Thanks Rebecca and Paul

Bump Photography

I just love my job!

I am very fortunate that as a photographer it allows me to be part of some very special moments, Weddings, Portraits, Bump, Newborn and Baby shoots. Magical moments where you are asked to document and record events that will be viewed for years and even generations to come! Quite a humbling thought really!

Imagine how I felt when my daughter Lauren asked me to photograph her bump! I was not too sure how I would feel photographing someone you love so dearly in a photo session of such an intimate nature. However, we loved the experience! There was a time when I had to ask her partner Carl to leave the room as we were in fits of laughter as I think some comments were made about my own stomach and him asking how far gone I was!

Here are a few images from a couple of shoots, October 2009 and this last weekend! I think they tell their own story.

Needless to say when I showed them to my daughter Lauren and Carl a few tears were shed. We all loved the results. I still do not know if my first grandchild is to be a boy or a girl but what I do know is that I will be doing a lot of Newborn photography in the weeks and months to come!

Watch this space .........
