ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS
Are you feeling a little nervous and apprehensive about having your photographs taken on your wedding day? Engagement or pre-wedding photo sessions are great preparation for the big day and many people have found themselves much more at ease in front of the camera afterwards. But it's not just a dress rehearsal – it's great fun!
Engagement shoots are a relaxed way to get to know your photographer and how they work and for your photographer to gain an understanding of what works best for you. These photo sessions can really prepare you for how it will feel to be the centre of attention on your day.
For me, as a wedding photographer, the best images are where you can see the connection between the couple and they only way to achieve this is for you to be relaxed. To help you with this I tend to direct rather than pose. So, I'll set the scene and gently direct you, whilst making sure you are enjoying yourselves! This means you avoid something that looks staged and awkward but are rewarded with images that evoke the love and romance between you both.
When I create a scene I work with the environment around you, so the end result is a synergy between you and your surrounding, be it architectural or a beautiful landscape.
As with every wedding, each couple is different. Some are very much at ease with the camera, others find the prospect daunting, but after spending a couple of hours together even those who revel in the limelight will come away feeling much more confident about the photography aspect of their wedding day.
And let's not forget you will also have a unique set of images to choose from, should you decide to purchase them. Some couples use these photographs for their "Save the date" cards, signature board or framed gifts for their parents.

An Engagement shoot if not included in your Wedding Collection starts at £250.00 for up to 3 hours. This rate incorporates a £75 credit off of framed images and all images on disk. Please ask for details.
In April through to October engagement shoots take place weekdays due to this being the wedding season
